Looking for a Long Term Commitment

April is Greyhound Adoption Month.
A very special video is making the "rounds" on the adoption boards, adoption group websites and YouTube.  Here's information on that PSA from the Greyhound Adoption Project:
"In 2008, the Greyhound Adoption Project produced a series of public service announcements to promote greyhound adoption. One of the spots featured a black greyhound named Cal who was looking for a long term commitment. Fortunately for Cal, he was adopted soon after filming. But there are thousands more pleasant and adorable greyhound just like him waiting in adoption groups around the world for their forever homes. Vacation Time

Vacation time is bitter sweet.  The sweet part is that we get to take time off from work and school and go have fun.  The bitter part is that we usually can't take the Brindle Kids with us.  We always have a great time, but we sure do miss the kids.
A blogger friend, Gyeong of Genji's Corner, recently introduced his readers to Flat Brutus.  Flat Brutus has embarked on a world tour to raise funds for the French Bulldog Rescue Network.  If I can't take my Brindle Kids with me, maybe I can take cute, little, Flat Brutus.  So I e-mailed Michelle, Brutus' Mom, to ask if he can go with us.  We promise to take good care of him and to take him some place nice.  Here's where we're headed.  Recognize it?

Festival at the Dog Park

Pet lovers in middle Georgia have lots of fun things to do in the spring.  In fact, there are so many pet-related activities that I'm behind on posting photos of all the things we've done. 

An annual event we've come to love is "Pawsapalooza" at the local dog park.  "Pawsapalooza" is a fund-raiser for the park featuring bands, vendors, treats for dogs and humans, etc., etc., etc.  This year it was Saturday, March 13.  It's always great day - lots of good people, good dogs and good times.

The kids get baths.

Unfortunately, as is often the case in middle Georgia in the spring,  we had another day of cold, drizzley rain - but we stayed long enough to get those baths!
