Greyhound Meeting! Part 1

Today is the "Annual Bring Your Hound to the Farm" event sponsored by SEGA.
The event features a very relaxed lawn party/picnic-type atmosphere - good for building a sense of community among greyhound families.  We bring our folding chairs, ex pens and blankets.  The hounds will be able to be off leash in a fenced outdoor arena which is good because Truly and Maggie rarely get to hang with other greyhounds.

The dinner menu (for people) is Southern fried chicken, red potato salad with sour cream dijon dressing, creamy cole slaw, peach cobbler with ice cream, and iced tea.

Two special hounds, Daisy and Hope, will be guests of honor.  Daisy is the greyhound who was lost for a month.  Hope, a foundling Greyhound who came to SEGA with a broken leg, will also be there.

We've been asked to bring donations for the SEGA rescue effort.  Donations include loose change, aluminum cans, old cell phones, empty printer ink cartridges, and dead auto batteries.  It may sound like a  diverse array of items but SEGA leaves no stone unturned in its effort to financially support the adoption of retired racing greyhounds.  Every penny counts.

There will also be lots of greyhound stuff for sale - the procceds are also used to support the adoption effort.  Photos to follow.
